Decided on using Upte Diesel (will get the name on the sign when I go later to pick it up today) but my coworker paised how good and low cost they are, and for $437.00 I think they are my go to people.

As for using the other diesel shop out in Winchester, the same coworker stated that he won't do business with them (as Autozone store manager) as they try to over sell/over commercialize things that really are best left in a "small form factor" if that makes sense...

I know I could go with a triple disk billet converter and all the trimmings, but I am right now just trying to get the truck to a 100% reliable state so I can know what a good healthy 7.3 diesel is supposed to be/feel like then once all that has been achieved start adding things like the exhaust gauges, the fuel pressure gauges (yes I like to know what the heck is going on with my babies and any other gauges that are recommended by the rest of the community, including the torque pro app (even though I don't have an android tablet just yet, but can probably find one on fleabay if needed...

Well unfortunately due to the rain and darkness I couldn't get the sign pics, but on a positive note, the truck sounds so much better (quiteter) so I'm thrilled to have it back home

I am however starting to look into the OBD2 adapter and a tablet and torque pro for the truck (darn you Tugly!!!) Figured Tugly had a good set up and the one I got in the Stang is working perfictly how I wanted and well the truck deserves one also!!

You guys always seem to figure out ways to get me to spend more money.....

You think that's bad? I am supposed to be picking up a $300 project in Hazard this weekend... That make 1 motorcycle, 1 truck, 1 suv, and 2 cars in this stable...

how easy will that be, I have never pulled a turbo or worked on any thing similar, (ok except our S40 Volvo which has a turbo) is it easy to get it off with out disconnecting a million things?

When changing the boots, the turbo clamp will be the first to loosen, then the rest of the clamps are loosened up. When re-assembling,you'll have everything back together before you tighten the clamps. A new o-ring is a good idea to have on hand. Make sure all the connections where the boots go are clean.

Incase you wondered why it sounded like it had mables in it? What causes that is the stock cover on the E99's were known to wear at the spines the clutch plates rode in. That is where the billet cover comes in handy.
Here is a photo of my TC after they opened it up.
