15-40 rotella and lucas in both my flatheads . Also in my 78 and my other old engine .

Use GL-4 rated grease in the trans and rear end. GL-5 and newer can attack brass/bronze synchronizers.

GL-4 also has the Extreme Pressure additives as GL-5, but a different type that is safer. Those are what attacks "yellow metal". But almost all GL-5's have changed to an additive that is safe for yellow metal. See below
85w140 is appropriate for our manual trannies and diffs

I use Delo 400 LE 15w-40 in the engine, and Chevron RPM universal gear lubricant 80w90 in the transmission and two-speed differential.
