aftermarket bumper/16.5ti winch what springs?
so my buckstop bumpers arrived,my 16.5ti winch is in the mail and now I need to get some springs coming.will also be adding a battery to the drivers side up front for extra winching power.
the question is with all that weight added to the nose what should I order?
for the front I'm thinking of getting w codes(5600 lb) but in the back of my mind maybe the x codes(6000 lb) are the way to go?
so if you are reading this and have a heavy winch bumper combo please tell me what you did and if you are happy or what you would do differently.
of course when I upgrade the fronts I will also do the back springs with either a b or a f code rear
I know the spring thing has been hashed over many times but mostly for stock bumpers, since people seem happy with the stock bumper and v codes maybe the x codes are the way to go with the extra 300lb up front
thanks

The X codes as well as being the standard spring for F-550 trucks were also the springs factory installed on Snow Plow Prepped F-250/350 trucks due to the extra weight of the snow plows. Sounds like Ford already figured this one out for you, X codes are the springs you want for the new eXtra weight.
Your extra battery/bumper/winch weight will tame down any unpleasant harshness (in some folks opinions) of the X codes. I run X codes with an extra leaf (rear B code overload leaf) added to them and find the ride they provide to be very firm, truck-like but not too harsh. I like the ride! (I have no extra weight of any kind on the front of my modded X code V-10 EX)
