Fellow Enthusiasts - Ive seen a few threads mentioning Best Gasket sets. What is the best engine overhaul gasket set for m 64 292? I used many many Fel-pro sets over the years but if someone can tell me why the Best sets are the ones to use over Fel-Pro, Im happy to understand why. Thanks -

 

My experience, limited selection of engine gasket kits for the early model engines, particularly if source is thru local auto part suppliers, out of those, IMO, I would place Fel-Pro at the top of the list. Have used Fel Pro over the many years and not had an issue with fitment. Will be interested if member chime-in and offer alternatives.

 

Thanks Dave. Cel-Pro has always worked well for me so Im going to order the Fel-Pro set. $78.00 on Amazon...for a full set...

 

There are probably other choices and perhaps if question posed in the engine forum member's familiar with the 292ci would be able to offer other gasket kit options; having said that, I have not come across many comments from customers who did not offer favorable review on Fel Pro gasket kit?

I am a card carrying member of Prime Amazon and I would be hard pressed to decide whether to purchase the kit thru Amazon or Summit Performance part who are second to none regarding customer service.
