Another New (To Me) V-10 Owner

I'll start off by saying I'm a Ford truck guy, have always had Ford's. Yesterday my daughter who is in sales at a Toyota dealership sends me a text, she discovered this 2009 F-250 SD in their "wholesale" row on her way in to work yesterday morning.

So I hop in my 95 F-350 and drive in to take a closer look. The truck is high mileage at 239k but as spotless inside and out as any new truck. The ONLY problem I could find was some jackwad had cut the exhaust off behind the cats. I pulled the Carfax and for the first half of it's life it was in the Oklahoma City area and serviced like clockwork at various Ford dealers in the OKC area. The second owner was in the McPherson, KS area about 30 miles north of me and again serviced like clockwork at the Ford dealer there.

I took it on a pretty long test drive, all kinds of speeds, highway, city etc. I still can't find a thing wrong with it. So I go sit down with the sales manager and work out a deal, traded my 95 F-350 DRW with 109k miles on it and my 04 F-250 6.0 money pit with 169k miles, blown head gaskets and a host of other problems along with $2500 and brought it home.

A buddy of mine came by last night and we crawled over, under, through, around this truck and still can't find anything wrong so good deal or not I'm very happy to have it and have an open parking spot at my house. I'm also relieved to be rid of that 6.0 money pit. I was dreading putting head gaskets in it because without a doubt a week later something else would puke and cost more money again.

Some times a deal still can be had. High miles really isn't that big of a deal if everything seems to be mechanically sound.

Honestly I have no idea, didn't look. I'm back to work now so when I get home in a couple weeks I'll find out.
