It looks like you are going to use an electric fuel pump. Make sure you have a good regulator set no higher than 2.5 psi. It is really easy to flood the stock carburetor with too much fuel pressure.

Hello. I'm actually going to use the original fuel pump. Engine builder got excited and covered it.

That's a beautiful thing! Did you fab your alt bracket or use a kit?

Thanks!

The bracket came with the kit I purchased. I had to modify it a little to make it work. Then I painted it black.

Vegas, tell me more about the mini-starter if you don't mind. Manufacturer, part number, fabrications needed, etc.
I have the same engine as you and my stock starter is only so-so.

Thanks,
Tom

Thanks Guys.

PineconeFord, I purchased the mini-starter from Gean at Flat O Products!

Stand up guy that has been a pleasure to work with. I had one of these mini-starters in a flathead 8BA I previously owned and it worked AWESOME! Also got that one from Gean.

Give him a call and I am sure he will help you out.

Just google Flat O products.

Good Luck!

I sure wish I'd known about those mini starters six months ago. Dang those are sweet. I have the same new alternator mounting brackets as you - had to modify the base mount, and shave a whole bunch of the adjusting arm.
You're doing a first class job. Like it a lot.
