Thumbs up 08 super duty mirror on 77 f150??

Hi everyone,
my son was sanding the doors on his 1977 f150 and he asked me if we could put super duty mirrors on his truck. i honestly dont know how i would go about doing this. so for one, is this even possible due to how those mirrors mount? if it is possible, could you guys give me some tips on how to start this? any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks!

Get him some 1960 Super Duty mirrors. It will be much easier to mount, look a whole lot better, and he will be getting Super Duty mirrors (maybe not the SD mirrors he was thinking of though).

Yeah it can be done quite easily, you have to make a plate and weld the vent shut then bolt it to that part of the door.. I think it looks good but don't think its worth loosing the gull wing(that's what dad always called em)

Ill see if I can find a picture

Just looked at the pictures in the link. I threw up a little.
Wow that's ugly. Hope the OP has a look and convinces his son it is a BAD idea!

I like seeing the new integrated into the old, anyone can buy it new..
