Where can I find a 53' project near Atlanta
I have contracted "Effie Fever" since seeing all those beautiful
F-100's in Pigeon Forge. I am in the hunt for a good project truck now. I am located in Atlanta,Ga and have no idea where to start looking for a 1953 F-100. If I can get the right price and and the right truck, I am willing to travel a few hundred mile if need be. PLEASE HELP! Thanks for your help,AL

Try here on FTE in the classified section or www.dealsonwheels.com
They might also have links to places/people who can find you what you're looking for in your area.
Good luck, and welcome to the affliction known as "Blue Oval Fever"!!!

Check out the swap meets aroud your area, look around in some of the fields out in the country. Even some old junkyards still sell cars. You can try ebay but you'll want make sure the price is not too steep! Ebay is where I bought mine and I got screwed. Just make sure you know what your getting. -4speed P.S collectorcartrader.com has a search option!

Your living in Atlanta, and you havent visited Mike Chesser in Lawrenceville? He could hook you up with any project.
His site is www.chesserbulit.com. My pops visited him last fall. He had about a dozen projects going on.

I think the link may be misspelled above. Try this one:
Mike Chesser
I tried a little while ago and couldn't get through. There are lots of links to the site if you do a search so I think the URL is correct - maybe his site is just down right now.

Caddy,
Man don't give me such a hard time! I am only a newbie and needed a little info. I will turn on my email as soon as I finish this post. Send me the specs on your possible sale. I have been into the newer Sport Truck scene and guess that I have finally grown up. I had no idea where to start a search for such an old vehicle. I was trying to stay close to home if possible because I have heard tales of tose old "Antique" junkyards being around but, I have no idea where. Thanks for everyones help,AL

Definitely put an ad in the FTE classifieds. You will get responses. There are a lot of people that read them but do not frequent this forum. Caddy Chuck is just trying to help. I know you meant no harm by posting it here. Posts like this will often get response 6 months from now, long after you already found a truck.
ebay is definitely the fastest way to shop. Count on getting a little less than you think you are though. Adjust your max price down from what it appears to be worth. I have purchased several vehicles on the net. And they always look better on the net than they really are. There is often a reason a vehicle is sold on the net rather than by other means. To state the obvious, buying something close enough to look at before you pay is preferable. You probably have that luxury in the SE.
Welcome to FTE.
