QuickFuel's 450 cfm 4bbl is out!
Slayer Series Carburetor 450 CFM Street
It wasn't out when I was poking around on their site a few weeks ago.
I know I'm happy with my Holley 465cfm, but I think it has quite a few shortcomings, such as no vacuum provisions (besides ported vacuum), no place to connect return springs, etc.
Plus, all the benefits of super tunability of a QuickFuel would be nice. Just seems like it'd be a great carb for our engines.

The Truck Avenger is a little more specialized, and obviously not nearly as tunable as the QF. Granted, I don't think anything is.
The QF is a great carb and I've never heard anything but praise for them, so it's great to see one that's much more in the CFM range of the 300 six. I know 500 - 600cfm carbs work just fine, but there's always so much of the carb that isn't used, so a fully adjustable, fully tuneable, 450cfm version of their carb is downright awesome.
Bummer the 465 didn't work for you, I'm really pleased with it. Granted, I may have to put it on my wife's Bronco now in place of her 600cfm and try one of these myself.

What a bummer you might have to try one! I know QF is out of Kentucky, but I wonder if these are made in the evil empire of China. The price is attractive.
That was meant to be sarcastic. Yes, I too would love to buy one and tinker. I love that every aspect of the carb is tunable. One concern: I have searched the photos and description on Summit site and QF, and can't tell or find reference to there being more than one vacuum port in the base plate.

Just put one of these on the truck last week when I did the EFI to carb conversion. I can't compare it to another carb on the 300 but so far I'm loving it. If you know your way around a Holley this will be no problem to tune.
Baseline tuning was really close out of the box but I did have to swap the accelerator pump cam to get that bigger initial shot. I had anticipated this and ordered a cam kit when I ordered the carb and ended up settling on the light blue cam.
I don't have it completely dialed in yet because I still have to do the TFI to DSII swap so right now all I have is initial advance. As soon as that is done I'll give it a few weeks and chime back in and let ya'll know how well it "holds" a tune and how much tweaking it needs when the weather changes.
