I have a 1999 F350 P.S. The auto tranny went out @ 30,000 miles, torque converter @ 50,000 miles. The problem is the E4OD shifting. I can never get into the power band of the motor without the tranny shift sequence piling up on top of one another. From 1st gear to second, then third is bam, bam bam. It falls right on it's nose when your accelerating quickly or towing. I've approached the dealership several times regarding this problem. The response given, is that it is inherent to the tranny. The truck is lifted 4 1/2" with 35" Bfg's, Superchip 80Hp chip, exhaust, gauges, wastegate switch, K&M filter and banks transcommand module. I've also had the chip program changed three times in an attempt to resolve this. The first time the tranny went out it started to buck under load. I thought the undercarriage had been dislodged from under the truck. Replaced tranny. Dealership told me it was a bad ground on the injector harness. Last weekend we headed out to do some camping hauling a 29 foot fifth wheel. We were cruising at 75Mph @ 1100 EGT and I put the tranny in cruise. The truck bucked a few times before catching itself and motored on. This happened twice. Now I'm afraid the tranny is going belly up again. The truck is awesome, but I've had a gutful of the transmission shifting problems. Can anybody help with with these dilemas. Your assistance is appreciated.
