'81 F100 - Free Wheeling Edition? Special Edition badge
All,
Came across this '81 F100 with original paint and a special edition badge on the tailgate. I wish that I'd taken more of a closeup photo of the badge but it was gold and said I believe simply "Special Edition".
Can anyone help identify the package? From what I can tell online, I think this was a Free Wheeling package A (stripes, black grille, probably wheel cover wheels). I don't think those are the Ford foglights as they would have been mounted under the bumper with guards but could be wrong... that would make it a package B I believe
It has a 302 / Auto, so wondering if it is a camper edition? Did they have those in '81? I can't see any reference anywhere to the Special Edition badge on the back
VIN is: 1FTCF10F3BNA01218
Thanks!

There are some pictures of the original foglights for these trucks. They are huge square Marchal units(don't know if I spelled it right).
There is also a thread or two in here on the dealer area special edition trucks. I don't know if anyone would ever be able to document all the dealer special edition models, but there were a lot of them.

Great info!
OK this is why FTE is awesome. Thanks for the quick replies and great info! can't believe you even have images of the badges.
OK so this looks like a Free Wheeling package A, which I believe has the stripes, the blackout grille (assuming it's original) etc but NOT the fog lights.
I wonder where the badge came from, to your point maybe I can research dealer editions...
This truck is for sale by the way, not mine but is in SC. Kid who owns it is asking $2500. It does need the wooden bed, rear crossmember is a bit rusty on the bed but others are fine and bedsides are very good. Has two rusty rocker panels and one bad cab corner. Needs brakes. Engine is very strong. Seat and wheels are the only non-original things that I see.
