Help me find an Alternator

I'm at my in-laws about 20 miles North of Albany, NY. My alternator died on the way out here. Is there anyone familiar with the area that knows where I can get an alternator. Preferably a high output one, since I just put the plow on the truck. I have all the tools I need to do the job, just hoping there is someone out there that knows where I may find one Saturday AM, so I can get back home to MA on Sunday.

Thanks all.

I don't think any box stores carry anything higher that 130A alternators...and most are only 110A.

Did you check the control plug? I had one come just slightly loose. It looked fine but discovered it when I went to unplug it to remove the apparently non working alternator. The base models are pretty common and usually a stock item if you do need to replace.

The alternators are very popular, nearly all autopart stores have one. Ii keep my old stock alternotor as a backup, if my DC highout ever dies, I have a spare. Away from home, I'd have to buy another stock one to get me back home, or I could call AAA.

It does suck that us DC owners have to do and think like this, oh well
