I join the ranks on the 22nd

I have given my word to a gent with a pretty nice 56 f100. I fly to pick her up on the 22nd and drive her back to Eugene, OR. I will give y'all more info on the 23rd.

All I can say is I am jazzed to get this truck.

It's a 1956 F100 with some gorgeous patina, 302 with a C4. It needs some interior love's but all in good time.

I did something similar but with a 1983 Porsche 911c and had a blast driving it from NY back to OR.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new ride. At least yours is drivable. Not all of us can say that with our 'new" trucks. I'm not sure how far you intend on driving it, but I hope it's as much fun as the 911 trip.

Welcome to FTE, the best Ford truck forum on the world wide web! Be sure to show us pics of the ruck inside and out. We even have a thread called through the windshield.

Safe travels.

Welcome to FTE! As everyone says, we love pictures.
Be sure to update us on the drive. Where are you picking the truck up?
There are FTE members all around the country that might be able to offer assistance if you run into issues on the drive.

I was a distance runner and loved running at Hayward Field. Best place to race I have ever been. Fortunately I got the opportunity to race there quite a few times.

I just read your road trip thread. It was a great read.
You did OK on pictures, but we REALLY like pictures.
I don't think you will have any 1000+ mile days in a 56 truck. I'm looking forward to your trip. Just reading your NY to OR trip makes me want to get my truck street legal and take it for a several day trip.

I spent a year travailing around the Country buying, selling,
and trading classic cars and trucks. It was one of the best times
in my life. So enjoy it wile you can guys. Don't wait for the
opportunity. It may never come. Just load up and go. You
will love it.
