I have coolant that just vanishes no external leaks no rising oil level no smoke and I even pressure tested it and it will hold all night anyone else have this issue?
Did do I 2nd that. I'm loosing coolant as well. Just added a gallon 2 week as ago and 1/2 gallon gone. As I figure mine out I'll let you know too. No signs of drips or burn off in mine either.
My over flow tank is what I think might be the problem. The thermal expansion of ethylene glycol is .00035 per degree over the temp you filled it at. My over flow is 1/2 gallon if I last filled it was 50 degrees out side then at 192 degrees it would expand 1/2 gallon. That leaves no room for my math to f up lol. So say you filled it when it was 20 degrees the overflow would loose all it had in it and also some out of the radiator. Then when it cooled off it would try to suck what it pushed out back and it will empty the reservoir and start sucking air. I have no idea what the factory one even looks like I replaced mine with the same thing the po had in there but with the size of the space it holds over 1.5 gallons anyone know where I could get a factory tank parts stores and online had proved pointless so far

I'd check a junkyard; it'd have to be a diesel for the doner.
Or build one yourself - I'd think a couple 4" abs caps and a piece of 4" ABS pipe between. 1' tall = 1 gallon of capacity. Plumb a fill/air hole and a tube that goes to the bottom for the overflow, and you'd be good.
I got an overflow tank from ebay, was pretty cheap. The one in my '93 had a crack in the bottom.
That truck also has a small leak, I can smell the antifreeze when I park it and get out. I do need to check/replace the hoses sometime, as one clamp was already loose. However, I think its leaking from the cap. I replaced it with a new one, but it looks like the radiator filler has a small dent where the cap seals, not sure what to do about it... ?
My dually is doing this exact thing, turns out its the tstat hsg gasket on mine, only leaks at specific times and never saw any stain till the road trip to Santa clara.
Just another option.
Bad caps, coolant bottles so on will do this. If I let it find its own level with no bottle it is down 1-1.5 inches in rad. FYI
I am pretty sure my cap is good it holds pressure and it sucks the bottle empty I am trying to find an overflow bottle to support my theory now I made a nice tank this weekend out of 3/32 plate I had it measured 9Lx6wx7t it fit great until I went to close the mfn hood the spring hit it so had to remove it pissed me off I haven't tried since but I need to
