I might possibly be moving to Dallas, Texas here shortly. What do I have to look forward to registering out of state vehicles? Any insight would be appreciated.

Don't know about MD but don't have to worry about emissions inspections for diesels in TX. Registering requires a visit to the county tax assessor's office. Give them a call and they will tell you what all you need to bring in.

You're in luck! When you register your vehicle in Texas you are automatically given a NRA membership, a ***** Nelson $5 Biodiesel coupon, 3 tickets to the rodeo, a Colt Defender 1911 compact and 3 boxes of ammo!

Nah.. bunch of hooey!..

read here TXDMV.GOV - New to Texas
pretty simple.

lately the big thing is the new vehicle inspection process.

now only one sticker, and you cannot renew the registration unless you have had the vehicle inspected. We are in the transition phase of this, stating March 1 this year. But new to Texas has always been get inspected before you can register so no big deal.

And Welcome!.. no place like Texas.. nothing outside the border matters!..
We've been here just over 15 yrs..
