While we are on the subject of tires. I ran a set of Falken Rocky Mountain ATs...they were the old version. Dog chit in deep snow and performed well in every other category. The big catch is I now have over 50k miles on them on a Diesel... that is unheard of. I might try to push them to 60 but they are getting ready to be replaced. Let me remind you I tow quite often, if not more than unloaded. So I have really been impressed with their longevity....
Anyways, I went in to get a flat repaired, and Discount covered the new tire due to a sidewall puncture... credited me 148$ ... I said man that's way cheaper than I originally paid. Long story short I picked up a second set of 4 tires for less than 600$ OTD.
I grooved my old set of tires myself with a hot knife. I noticed the updated AT2 was near identical in grooving from the mold from what I thought should be done to the tire to improve snow driving.
Just a bit of info... I have never had tires last as long as these....they would be ideal ina snow free states IMO

well guys i wasnt very happy with these tires they handeled great and seemed to wear evenly but the didnt last long right around 15,000 and they were getting petty worn down they wore great on the front but with slightly aggresive driving they wore out quick and yes i wont lie i did pull out and spin a few times but i never did a burnout with them and ive gotten more miles out of used tires but id say on a half ton pickup they would do great but as for me i wouldnt recomend them on a diesel pickup
