2006 5.4L - Melted Plug #1 with Misfire

A few things going on with my F150, but one of the codes I was throwing was misfire in cylinder 1, so we replaced that plug. When we pulled the plug, we didn't spray with wd-40 first, so naturally it did break, but in addition all of the ceramic was melted away.

Is there a common reason why this happens? My dad suggested something with the lobe (will have to ask again for the full scoop).

Successfully found a youtube that told me about the special tool kit to pull the busted plug and got it out with success!

Any info is much appreciated!
