Make sure the problem is your gauge, not your sending unit. The shop manual has the procedure to test the gauge with a battery.

I have installed new temp sender and temp bulb. I checked the wiring it is correct. I have not seen how to check the gauge.

The temperature gauge workings are nicely discussed in this thread: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...emp-gauge.html which references the fuel gauge test that is described in this thread: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-question.html.

The fuel, temp, and gas gauges are the same gauge with different faces and sending units.

what I do is with a long jumper - connect jumper to sender wire, go inside
turn ign. on and momentarily ground the jumper (just touch it) the temp
should go to cold if its good. If it doesnt move, put the jumper to the
sender side on the gauge and quickly ground it if now it moves then the
wire is no good. Just went through that last week & found my wire was
broken (open circut) somewhere, I just added a new wire.

It's pretty easy to change out the gauge, if that's your problem. Mid Fiftys has them.
