my truck is missing the vertical trim pieces that go on the sliding panes in the rear window. If I remember right, there is 4 total, 1 for each sliding pane and 1 for each stationary pane and they hold what I believe is just a felt wiper...

Any bright ideas were I could get some new ones?

 

I don't know if this will help but I think that rear sliders are the same from 73 to 96. If that's the case, a wrecking yard could be an option or maybe even the Ford dealer. What I'm not certain of is if it's just the window size that's the same or the actual components.

No other Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

btw: Beginning in 1980, the glass is thinner, so these seals are different.

 

speaking of sliding rear window who has the best quality replacement gasket? correct corners and thickness ?

 

numberdummy, is there a way to tell for sure the window is original and wasn't swapped out?
