New clutch growling when over 3K RPM's
Howdy guys, so I just installed a new clutch and it's working beautifully. When I romp on it in 1st 2nd or 3rd and get the RPM's over 3K it starts to make a chattering noise but does not slip at all. I'm guessing after reading the shop manual the I didn't get the 1/4" clearance in the clutch fork and push rod quit right. the logic is the fingers move back and touch the throwout bearing due to centrifugal force. Or maybe it's just the new friction disk slipping a bit?
Everything is new including the pilot (I used bread to extract it) and throwout bearings except the flywheel which was in excellent shape.
BTW here's a picture of the old clutch, notice how worn the fingers are, any chance this was an original clutch?:

You should have seen the grin on my face when I got my first look.
The wear patterns look good to me, not sure of the syncros. Shifts really good. One thing I can't figure out is downshifting from 4th into 3rd is a bit noisy for a moment, but 3rd into 2nd is buttery smooth. Running 80-90 gear oil.
