in need of guidence in the right direction......please anyone.....
I bought a 86 f350 with a 460 motor. that has a rebuilt motor and tranny done in 2006 after completion it was parked until I got it. Which was two months ago.I had it towed to my houscompleted tune up and the truck started just fine. But would overheat when I tried to drive it around the block so I changed the water pump and found that behind the water pump it was clogged solid . I cleaned it out put on a new water pump, but now I can't seem to get it started whatsoever. So with that said I've already changed the alternator, got new battery, changed the starter solenoid, and one fusiable link that was eroded.....oh and the rotor and distributor cap. And low and behold still can't get it started if my life depended on it. These are what I've noticed ....carb seems to exhale in stead of gulping in gas like a v8 motor should be doing. And has a weak spark at the center plug on distributor. Can anyone please help. It would be greatly appreciated from someone who can't afford to take his beloved truck to a shop. Thanks .
