So I said screw all this crap with trying to make the dodge wheels fit and just bought these for $600. Sold the rims, and then sold the dodge wheels and tires. All for $800 so I got these for free. Yayyy knowing how to get 95% MTs for free.

Will a pinched MAP line actually result in lower boost or just lower boost reading on the gauge?

I presume the pinched line would at least affect some things the computer does based on the boost reading, such as fueling, etc. Can the poster expect better performance by replacing the MAP line?

If its pinched between the MAP sensor and the intake plenum, then yes it will make a difference. But if its just a pinch going to the boost gauge, then no.

Ok then I must be confused on how those work. I was sent a 20 psi boost fooler with my chip , basicly just a 20psi pop off valve. I thought it doesnt matter if it doesnt see boost, just if it sees too much. Or does it always need to see some boost?

The PCM fuels the injectors according to what boost the map tells it.

Ok thank you for that info. I watched the youtube videos on checking for boost leaks, Ill give it a shot. I got my Tony wildman tuned TS chip in today and got it installed. Punched it on the street tune, and my boost went up to 15-16 before I shifted into 3rd. then I had to slow down I was already at 55mph. Ill grab a boost reading on the interstate, speed limits 80 here. Ill also grab my camper and yank it up some hills near my house and see what it does on the heavy haul setting. Ill try extreme as well but only once Im moving, it makes my truck idle like crap haha.

I also got to see a 7.3 stock injector today. Those things are ALOT bigger then I thought theyd be. I was picturing something the size of a spark plug, not something 6"s long by 2" round.
