F350 Max Tow

Looking to get a F350 with the Max tow package. Does anyone know if it makes the truck higher than without? Wondering if I will be able to get it in the garage or if overall height will be to much. Also is bed height anymore than without for hitch setup for my fiver?

I think length would be a bigger issue. I have the max tow on my drw and it would fit in my garage as far as height but my garage is only 24ft deep.

The 2011 F350 I had and the 2015 F350 with HCTTP are the exact same height and length. The only difference dimensionally is the front axle is wider with a lot tighter turning radius. They both squat the same with the same load.

What is the max tow rating for the F350? My current truck has 14k GVWR with 3:73 gears. That's pretty high, can't imagine 4:30 gears raising it too much.

4:30 gears bumps the GCVWR up to 35k and the 5th wheel/gooseneck towing up to 26k.

With a statement that the fifth wheel rating is limited by the hitch rating being limited at 26K.

Thanks for the reply on height. House I am building should be finished in another 2 weeks. Had the garage lengthened so the dually would fit, but the door is standard 7 foot high. Didn't know if the tow max would fit. Wanting the wide track axle and higher towing ability if I go to a heavier fiver in the future. Thinking seriously of a 2016 as I like the bigger cab if they go to a 150 size standard cab for all trucks as is the rumor.

Think you'll be waiting until 2017 for a complete redesign, the 2016 is going to be a carry-over from 2015. None of these trucks are higher than 82" from the factory, so you should have at least a couple of inches clearance regardless of how you order the the truck.

I am hearing 2017 for the redesign so that is why I am pretty sure I am going to get a 2016. I read somewhere that no more orders after Nov. for the body style used right now.

Good grief, the truck now cannot make a u turn on a football field.

What I was trying to say is with the wide track front axle I can do a u turn on a two lane highway. With the standard front axle it takes a 3 point turn.

Are you saying the 'wide track' axle makes a tighter (smaller turning circle) than the standard axle?????
