2000 navigator
I just installed an after market stereo and now I'm blowing fuse #2 which is for climate control, clock, pcm. With the fuse blown my climate control goes crazy and service light comes in but my truck will run and drive normal. If I disconnect the factory amp harness from the stereo the fuse doesn't blow. And the factory amp doesn't work so I'm thinking it completely failed when I hooked up the new stereo and that could be my issue with fuse 2. But with out a wiring diagram I'm in the dark. Does any one have electrical diagrams they are willing to share?

There isn't a wire that I'm using for the stereo that is connected to to the fuse 2 that I'm aware of. Other than the wire from the stereo for the steering wheel controls which I'm not using that wire either. It was supposed to go to pin14 on the factory harness

If the problem started when you installed the stereo then something from the stereo is connected to that fuse. Here is what you do, with a meter or test light and a good fuse in the #2 spot, test each and every wire at the stereo harness plug for power. Then remove fuse 2 and do it all again. Whichever wire (or wires) that loses power is the one tied to fuse #2. Doing that might give us a clue as to what the problem is.
