Two questions F150 XL 2000

If the compass and temperature are not functioning, a repair can usually be made.
There is a board behind the display.
It is sealed in an enclosed space and runs quite hot.
On the circuit board a component looses contact because the solder joint goes faulty from heat cycling especially in summer time..
Removal of the board and a small solder iron and solder will usually make the repair.
.
Tire size: A search of the GOODYEAR tire site shows the last year and tire size of 16" was on the 2003 F150.
In 2004 they used both 17 and 18" depending on options and build level.
I did not notice if the 2004 Heritage model used 16".
You can go to the site and navigate for this info.
I looked at owner manuals for many years and never found anything about tire sizes.
You will see reference to the rim size on the door sticker information.
Like a lawyer, 50 cents for the part and $99.50 for the service.
Good luck and tell hubbly' to put the check in the mail.
