Well, it's done! I got my windshield tinted this morning. And I positively love it!!

It was completed and I was driving away about 11am (just as the Florida sun is revving up). I spent the next 3 hours wondering if it was excellent, or if the weather was just milder... There were lots of sparse clouds, but even more direct sun light. Many times I noticed my air conditioner was freezing me out. (proof positive).

The final proof was when I touched the dashboard and didn't get a minor burn injury (like before).

My tint guy had some upgraded film called Suntek CXP. (55%, whatever that means). The specs indicate it rejects 48% of total solar energy, and I believe it.

He did it for $120, and I wish I cold go back in time and have this stuff on every Florida vehicle I've ever driven. I promise I will have it on every one I get in the future.

I had the side windows on our RV done last summer when we returned from vacation. I had the guy do a 6 inch strip across the windshield as that is where we got lots of sunlight and it sure has helped, He was gonna do 4 but I told him to do the 6. Just under $100 for the job done. Can get a whole care out here for $99 at some places. This is the 4th vehicle this guy has done. Nothing to dark on the sides as its hard enought o see out anyhow. Enjoy.
