I read somewhere that these thermostats dont get stuck in closed position. Is this true???

I had it running for about ten minutes and i then shut it off and heard a pop and water gushing out. Bottom hose slipped off. This happened before but clamp was split when i checked it first time.

Seems like it was hot for only running ten minutes.


So does the water flow go from bottom host to water pumps thru block then return to radiator from top???

I hoping its thermostat and not head gasket.
