@Ford1dawg You have a newer 150. It might be better worse same or anything in between. However it if was coming from an older 150 like I did then it would be a world of difference. I towed our first trailer (30 foot 6K Kodiak TT ) with a 99 F150 XLT 5.4L V8 SCSB down to Florida and back in 2012. It was a an interesting ride. The following year, my wife and I upgraded to a 2011 F250 6.2 and had a trip to Myrtle Beach, SC planned for the summer. That was a world of difference when it came to the towing portion. If anything you are going to gain in payload between to the 2 trucks. However best of luck with the new ride and trailer.

F150 with 28ft TT

I am wondering if I will feel the wind or big trucks as much? My F150 pulled great, and stopped great. We have pulled trailer over the mountains here in Ga, and pulled to Myrtle Beach. Crosswinds and semi trucks running 80 would sometimes give me white knuckles. I am thinking the bigger heavier truck will help with that some. I do run a WD hitch and sway bars.

My previous trailer was 30 feet and 7500 pounds loaded. Towed it using the same Equal-i-zer hitch (properly adjusted) with the the 2016 F150 3.5 EB Max Tow and the 2005 V10 F250. Both engines were were great at moving the load but the F250 was by far my preferred tow rig. The F150 was fine but I could definitely feel the trailer behind me. A 7500 pound trailer can exerts more influence on a 5400 pound truck than a 8000 pound truck. My current trailer is 35 feet and 9000 pounds. I would not even consider hitching it to my F150.

My trailer is 36' long 12' tall and around 11K without toys and has a 13K GVW, definitely dually territory after pulling it for 4 years with an Excursion.
Mine is not the ASV model. I have the 2006 brochure and don't see an ASV model listed. 11K is the GVWR on my sticker, which agrees with the brochure.

I see here the is a S2 and S4 both 220FB but the S4 has the higher 11K weight rating.
Thanks for the clarification, I have been trying to figure out if my trailer is unusually heavy or if I have too much junk in it.
For 10' more feet of trailer and a Super Slide I am inline with your trailers weight rating I think.

At least that's how I took it.

Either way it's all good. Just wanting to assuage any negative feelings that may have been stirred up. Nothing negative was meant towards you.

Except for the fact that I clearly stated that I had an excursion as a company car. So, the comment was simply calling me a liar then and that's okay? Sorry if I triggered the snowflake alert. There should be a law against allowing people to access "the inter webs" from their parent's basement.

Sorry, I missed that. In fact, below is your quoted post (minus the pictures) that he referenced and I don't see where you advise you have an Ex as a company car?

If you posted the info in earlier post, you can't expect users of FTE to remember every detail of every user that posts information about their vehicle, and then to recall that specific info before posting so their info is correct.

So, the comment was simply calling me a liar then and that's okay? Sorry if I triggered the snowflake alert. There should be a law against allowing people to access "the inter webs" from their parent's basement.
Again, he didn't call you a liar, but if you can't see or understand how I was trying to assuage any negative feelings you may have felt, then this post will probably fall on deaf ears too because the snow might be falling, but it's not falling where you think it is.

Anyway, just grow thicker skin and stop taking umbrage at a perceived jab. There was none.

Enough said, nothing to see here....lets move along.

I took some photos while on the actual beach, unfortunately none of them included my truck & camper..lol
Here's a shot that my wife took from the passenger seat while going over the St Johns river on the way to Jacksonville Beach. At least it includes the camper, truck and some water.
