engine/transmission swap
My truck is a 1972 F-100, 302 engine, c4 transmission, 4x2 long bed. The donor truck is a 73-79 engine V8 unknown, transmission unknown manual on the floor. I was planning on a re-ring but the 302 is much more damaged for that. I have thecomplete donor truck. I need to know What all am i looking at, possibly going to end up doing a midnight swap if my 302 gives out prematurely.Do not know anything more about the donor. My main concern is engine and trans mounts and drive shaft connections but anything will help.

We can't really tell you anything until you give us more detail. One thing I can say though is I don't think your gonna be able to "bolt in" a 4spd in place of a c4.
Keep the c4 if at all possible. They are great trannys.
