Personally I'm against having any logo. I don't see any reason or benefit to it. But then again, I'm also one who doesn't see any reason or benefit to having a nickname that makes no sense to anyone who hasn't read the thread that describes why these trucks are called "Bullnoses". So I don't think my opinion will matter here.

I'm still working on the FTE bullnose truck silhouette; it's a bit more difficult than I originally thought, but we're getting there.

I have emailed FoMoCo about the use of the retired BFT logo. Lariat85, you are correct, it really seems to fit.

I found a good full frontal of the Last Great Grill on this very site. Here's what I have so far... We'll call this one 3b, since it a modification of 3.

I'll tweak 2, 5, and 9 also, and remove the offical Ford logo.

So when it's all said and done will there be stickers or decals
available? #3b would look great next to the FTE logo on my Bronk.

It certainly bears looking into. We could have them made and sell them at cost. Like a lot of guys, I got a free FTE sticker when I paid the $20/year Club FTE fee. And I freely admit I didn't put it on my truck because (a) it wasn't well printed and (b) I frankly thought it was a lame design - the red throws me off.

Anything that doesn't feature an official Ford logo can be made. We'll keep chewing on it and get Chris's approval.

Gary my brother, this one's for you!

Perfect! Love it. While the natural progression would have been to sandwich the 80's truck 'tween the other two, I like it on top much better.

Since we're using it here, it does make sense to give it the foreground...

Pending approval of the carved-in-stone logo by FoMoCo, I believe these are the five finalists, pending any necessary tweaking; remembering that use of the Ford oval will also require approval.

It is not my approval that we need... it is the approval of FoMoCo and IB's lawyers....

Those logos and slogans are FoMoCo's property, we can't just copy and repurpose them for our own uses...

Acknowledged - we were discussing a Bullnose forum sticker based on 3b and I should have clarified what I meant. I have already emailed Ford that we're just looking to create a forum logo and not sell anything (including stickers).

Post #32, action taken based on your worthy advice:
I have emailed FoMoCo about the use of the retired BFT logo.

So a forum sticker would be something much simpler. And if we make any stickers, we'd need you to pass it up the FTE chain. I have no idea who actually runs FTE.

I like 11. But, to simplify the approval hoops perhaps we could not use the official FTE logo with our overlay? Any modification of an official logo is likely to run afoul of their lawyers very quickly. So, if we just used the term "Ford Truck Enthusiats", without placing "Enthusiats" below "Truck" and then only used the 80-86 outline, might that suffice?

#1 would be my choice. Not everyone in the general public knows what a "bullnose" is, and if I get a sticker, I don't want to have to explain it's meaning.....

I think it looks great!

A few suggestions:

1. Instead of "The '80-'86 Forum," how about "The 1980 - 1986 F-Series"? I think that might flow better with the "www.ford-trucks.com" written underneath.

2. I think "The '80-'86 Forum" and "www.ford-trucks.com" script looks a bit plain. How about something with an early 1980s/western bull/outlaw theme?

3. The Bullnose truck silhouette in the logo might look better as a shortbed? (Shorten up the bed and bring the FRONT of the Bullnose silhouette back a little. The front wheelhouse on the Bullnose is running into the wheelhouse of the middle truck, compared to the spacing of the wheelhouses of the other two trucks.)

We'll put the brakes on until we hear back from FoMoCo marketing. If they don't allow us the use of the retired BFT moniker, I'll come up with some revisions. No idea how long they may chew on it, or how many suits have to give their 10 cents. "The oxen are slow, but the earth is patient..."

Yep, number 11 gets my nod.

Dunno about the black angus though, reds are much better

Here's a couple of my families young blokes from today's beef-week judging.
