1954 F100 Power Steering Conversion 223

Getting ready to get a kit from mid fifty to convert to power steering. Most of the posts pertaining to installing the ps pump and bracket are from 5 or 6 years ago. Right now I have a 12v system with a generator in original position on driver's side. Should I build a bracket? Where to install? Are there any pre-fab brackets on the market? Electric fuel pump? Replace generator with alternator first? So many questions, I know, but I want to do this right.

This is the "new" way to go

y block power steering bracket | eBay

This is the stock way of doing it

DinnerHill SpeedShop: Power steering

Then you have to decide where to take the power from

Originally it came from a 2 belt harmonic damper like this

DinnerHill SpeedShop: NOS 2 belt Harmonic Balancer, Ebay find.

It will be a tight fit for the lower waterpump hose, there are a lot of different eaton pumps so it might be a bit of a challenge to find one that reaches far enough.

I have a long nose pump and that seems to work, I have just mocked up everything briefly
