For our newest Question of the Week, we want to know whether you would pick the Ford Edge Sport or the Ford Explorer Sport?

The Edge has 315hp, 350tq, can tow 2,000lbs and starts at $40,490.

The Explorer has 365hp, 350tq, can tow 5,000lbs and starts at $43,995.

Sorry but I will never spend that kind of money on any vehicle. My $400.00 99 Crown Vic P71 gets me everywhere I want to go just great. Every 3 weeks the wife & I travel on a 1000 mile trip, at 23 mpg I'm happy with a $400.00 car. Our 73 Galaxie is only a $1200.00 car that drives & runs great also.

Now onto the subject matter.

Bottom line is what do you need in your suv?

The towing capacities kind of
Limits both vehicles. But at least the explorer will let you tow a small trailer or boat.

After occupants/cargo, the edge doesn't leave much to tow...

For me it'd be the exploder.......unless, of course, I had a 16 or 42 year old car that I paid too much money for to choose from.

I actually am leaning towards an Edge for my next purchase, but, I won't buy the ecoboost as it's mainly going to be an in town vehicle with some freeway use. The N/A 3.5L is much better suited for those needs.
