1982 Bronco XLT on eBay

Keeping with recent Bronco threads and price speculation, I just stumbled across this beauty on eBay.

(Disclaimer: OP has no affiliation with this auction, nor claims to possess any specific Bronco expertise or knowledge. The thread is posted for informational purposes only. OP has not read the entire eBay listing. Figures sold separately. Batteries not included. No animals were harmed in the posting of this thread.)

It's part of the theft prevention device.

Auction over, reserve not met at $8,100.

Right now it is a "sales prevention device". That truck in black would have gone quickly.

I don't mind the color combo myself. But I also think $8100.00 was a fair offer.

While I fully acknowledge that if it's "your truck", then "you" have the right to do whatever you want to it ... but as a Bullnose purist, there are times when I get teary-eyed and have to ask, "why, why, why..."

Because s/he has no taste. They say "There's no accounting for taste." However, that assumes one has some, however small. This person has none.

As an '81 F100, that truck is directly related to Festus. (Don't worry, ol' boy, I would NEVER...)

That level of modification is irreversible. The truck is gone.

They ARE out there. A few years ago I was called to do some work on a garage door opener. It sat over a mid-70s Cherokee that looked like it had just rolled off the showroom floor. Very wealthy woman, invalid, and her trustee had called for the work. I got a look at the odo; it had less than 5,000 miles on it. They couldn't get it started, then couldn't get the garage door open (there were six of 'em, as I recall), and needed the opener worked on. I couldn't get a ladder in position, and wasn't about to risk dropping anything on that Jeep. I told them so, and left.
