Im going to look at this 91 F250 soon to see if i want to buy it for parts mostly for 2 vehicles. My question is that i have an 00' Ex and want to do the x/b and c code swaps (correct me if im wronge) and also use this truck for parts on a 93 Bronco mostly body and interior. But what else if anything will this truck be good for parts on my Ex?
Also how do i know if a truck is equiped with x code and c code springs.
You need a Super Duty truck to pull parts from. Not much if anything will be usable for the Excursion. X and C code springs can be verified on a door tag by weight rating. Check the sticky's here and in the Super Duty forum for all the information regarding such.
Rear springs can be from a 1999 thru 2007 F series, the fronts need to be 99 thru 2004.
I agree, almost nothing besides nuts and bolts will be usable on the Ex.
so pretty pointells to even take a look at it, boo o well. i need to get up the junk yard so i can get started on some v/moded b codes springs for the ex, thats what i was hoping would work off this truck.
I have rear leafs out of a 87 F 250 in my excursion. Used the ex main leaf, and the rest out of the 87. My front also has a leaf out of a 92 F350. But it was a add-a-leaf. Some of the rear axle parts are usable too, but not too many. Other than that it's hit and miss.
