If I could find one for a decent price, I would do it in a heartbeat

The 205 would be indestructible, but I always worry about it on the highway for long periods of time. It was designed back in the day when trucks weren't run at 75mph for 600 miles. I've had plenty of guys tell me that they are fine though.
But I like the 1356 also. I have not broke one yet. You get a little more from low range, but nothing I'd worry over.

If it were an offroad truck, I'd say 205 without question. But being an over the road work truck, you could use the 1356.

She's a daily/hauler. Used it a lot for road trips. Other than the IFS leafs with a Dana 60 front it rides really nice, which that will be addressed another day.

I want to build a cooling system for that NV4500 with a external pump.

Probably stick with the 1356, I have a spare one anyways

I have a driveshaft driven pump on my mustang, to cool the t5 trans. I pull fluid out of the drain hole, then pump, filter and cooler, and back to trans through the full hole. The added fluid is nice also.

No extra fluid reservoir. Between the filter and cooler and lines I didn't think I needed it. It's all lower than the trans also, so it would have needed to be sealed. I just filled the trans a few times until the level was correct. It wasn't that hard to fill the extra fluid up, I just turned pump by hand til it come out the far end. Topped off the trans and said close enough. My shifter handle use to get hot to the touch, now it's always cool. I like it.
