New Carb 58 F600

Hey all,

So last summer when I went to start up the old beast I noticed the carb was leaking. I tried to rebuild it and failed miserably apparently because it wouldn't even idle when I put it back together.

Fast forward to today when I installed a brand new Holley 2300 500CFM carb. I hooked it up and that old truck just purred. She sounds like a brand new vehicle.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to run the fuel line? Here is a picture of the temp setup which has the fuel line laying on the exhaust

Run it like that for a while and your troubles will be over.

I wouldn't even start it with the line running like that.

How was the stock line run?

You want a metal line as far as you can run it, and if you need a flex, use some braided steel type line, preferably with real AN fittings.

Rubber fuel line always deteriorates and is always vulnerable to damage.
