Need to brag on my bronco a little
I have two vehicles I will never get rid of. one is my super duty and the other is my bronco. I have had it for going on almost 10 years now and at 250k miles it is still going strong. When my tbird blew the engine, my 7.3 crapped out, her mystique blew an engine and now her van ripping the steering gear loose from the frame the bronco has kept on ticking and got us where we needed to go.

With a 300 6 and a 4 speed, you're NEVER going to have any problems. At least not real problems. That Bronco will rust to the ground before that drive train gives up.

That is usually what I do lol. If I have to add a few quarts close to when I would change the oil I just change the filter and run it another 5k

I have the same stable as you. I bought my 2000 Powerstroke in 04, and I'll keep it forever. I just bought my Bronco last week, and I think it's going to be with me for a long, long time as well

My Bronco was my first vehicle and I don't ever plan on getting rid of it. I've had it for 8 years now and put about 126k miles on it so it's sitting at roughly 227k. It runs great though, but I have done some work (not needed, just for performance) to it like new cylinder heads and exhaust and all the other maintenance items.
These 302 engines sure seem to run for a long time, but I do plan on swapping for a 7.3. However, I want to keep the 302, maybe put a cam in it, and drop it in another vehicle I get that is more suited for the 302 like a mustang or something. I just love restoring and building up vehicles, so I know I'll be getting a lot more in the future, but I'll never get rid of the Bronco.

No matter what life throws at me to separate me from my Bronco, I always end up back with another Bronco. I sold my first after having it for 3 years and found my second Bronco less than 2 years later. Life forced me to sell that one after 4 years and it took another 5 years to find the next. It was beyond saving when it was given to me (midwest plow rig that rusted away). It took another year to find my current one. It seems that as life takes one Bronco away it later opens the door for a replacement. Once my current one is built and driving I hope to keep it for a long time. I'm guessing about 13 years because thats when my son will start driving and probably beg it away from me.
At least it'll stay in the family this time.

I will second that. I worked as a geologist for 8 years and had to go to every well we drilled from exploration to production. We kept a dozer on site to pull people up the hills. Neither my bronco or bronco II ever had a chain hooked to them.
