Pretty cool. I have an extremely high resolution image file of the Club FTE logo. You can combine it with your logo idea and get 1 at a time items (t-shirts, oval stickers, bumper stickers, mouse-pads, mugs) made fairly cheaply at www.cafepress.com. Stickers start at $2.49, not bad. So long as you give me the chance to approve a design you can use them on merchandise for your chapter.

I like the first image you created with the web address and without the shadow on the state. I think the first image needs to have the state watermark softened up and the actual FTE graphic changed where the colors from the watermark are not influencing the colors on the FTE graphic like you did on the second one. That's just my thought on the matter though. If you want to fiddle around and try that and post it that'd be cool.

 

You know what they say, Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. (or something like that). Well after all 50 states have their own logo, just remember FLORIDA was FIRST!

Connie, I'm still playing with it and learning how to do some of the effects. I'm going to make several versions and post them soon for everyone's input. The shadow looks much better on the bigger version.

 

Great job... they ALL look fantastic! I'm sure with your design talent the final version will be perfect. T-shirts, caps, mugs and (of course!) window stickers will be in demand.

 

I understand that. I took classes in high school for design and web stuff and the hardest part is figuring out what each one of those buttons do on those graphics programs. I was working with adobe photoshop 5.0 when it first came out for schools to use but it's been a really long time since I played with it so I'd have to relearn it again if I ever needed to make something.

The shadow probably would look better on something like a white t-shirt where the graphic would be bigger but I'm not sure how it would look on a colored or grey shirt. I think on stickers it would depend on the size of the sticker also but the shadow I think would be ok on a white t-shirt and I would definantly order one of them. Are you planning on putting a coupla different ones up and then doing a vote thing? If so, I'll try to get on more and see what's going on. I agree that this is a cool idea and look forward to seeing what else you come up with!

 

I didn't think about that. When I started this little project I was just thinking about using it for an avatar or a signature graphic. The interest in other uses was unexpected. Ihope to have several designs posted to a gallery by the end of the week. Probably several different aspect ratios depending on the intended use.
