Hot Shot's Stiction Eliminator Discount?

I think I want to give Hot Shot's Stiction Eliminator a try on this upcoming oil change. Is there a discount code available for FTE members?

Don't know a code but I do have a suggestion. May want to try ar9100 first. Hot shot never did much for me.

After reading the experiences of others here, I'm willing to give Hot Shot's a try. I've got some slight stiction symptoms going on and instead of replacing an injector I'm going to give this a go. Since they back the product with a money-back guarantee I figured I've got nothing to lose.

We don't offer a discount code, but I can tell you that it would be cheapest either on Amazon, or at a TSC or Rural King if you have one close to you. Keep me posted on how it works for you if you do use it!

Thanks for the tip. Does the money-back guarantee still apply if I buy the product from one of those places?

Correct, you don't have anything to lose on it.

I've been using Hot Shot Secret since December 2008 on my 7.3 Excursion and August 2014 on my 6.0 Excursion (bought October 2013). Both trucks have been cured of their stiction issues and run notciably better after using it for several oil changes.

I normally run HSS and the Diesel Extreme Fuel additive mid Spring and Fall right before Winter sets in. You can get it both Fuel and Oil additives at either Tractor Supply or Autozone. Its recommended that you use synthetic oil like Mobil 1 or Shell Rotella 5w40 oil with the additive.

In order for HSS to work properly, the truck must regularly see highway driving and some occasional "drive it like you stole it" driving. Once you complete the recommended 4,000 mile interval, you truck should run noticably better unless you have other underlying injector issues.

I went online and checked AutoZone's website and didn't see the Hot Shot's on there. That would be great if I could pick it up locally- guess I need to call an AutoZone around here and see if they have it.

Autozone is pretty hit or miss, so I would certainly give them a call before actually going to the store to try and get it. But that is correct, the money back guarantee is still good wherever you buy it from. Just be sure to keep the receipt

Great- thanks for the info. I just called the local AutoZone and they have the Stiction Eliminator and Diesel Extreme in stock. Time to go get filters, oil and try out the Stiction Eliminator.

Well I knocked out an oil change this afternoon with fresh Rotella T6 and a dose of HSS Stiction Eliminator along with a new main oil filter and also changed out the bypass oil filter in my Bulletproof Diesel setup. I'm looking forward to seeing if the HSS clears up this Stiction I'm noticing.

OP, if Hot Shot does not work, I would highly recommend AR 9100. My only real feedback on AR9100 was after I put it in my C5 ZO6 Corvette manual transmission. The shifting was noticeably easier. So now I put it in my motors, trannys, differentials, power steering, etc. As for my X, it starts easier and runs quieter, especially in the winter. I use it in my go fast boat, farm equipment, '08 Super Bee and my recently purchased '10 C6 ZR1. Where ever a lubricant is required, AR 9100 is in it.

I am towards the end of my 5000 mile run of HSS and it has helped with stiction. When I do my next oil change do I add some back into the oil or do I just run synthetic and HSS later?

Just run a good synthetic in it, you only need to add in the Hot Shot's once every third oil change. Also, on the follow up changes, you only need 1 quart instead of the 2 you use for the initial cleanup
