2003 Ex no wireless head phones!!!

Instead of revive a few old threads, here is a new one.

WTF!!!

That is what I have to say.

I WANT WIRELESS HEADPHONES TO WORK IN MY 2003 that does not have the IR (black boxes) option on the overhead.

I want to KEEP THE FACTORY DVD player, and factory radio up front.

Questions:
1)How did you solve this problem?
2)Can I swap in a 04-05 DVD with wireless option and it form/fit/function?
3)They make these cheap IR pods that make wireless headphones work, they have power adapter and RCA hook ups (or similar connection)
I really hate to buy and test one, and find a way to install so it actually looks nice.....but if that is the solution.....tell me you had a great experience with it????!!!

I was going to offer mine up to you once I had tested them to make sure they worked as I will never need them but nevermind. You catch more flies with honey than vinegar man.

I couldn't take having the cables snaked around the Ex for my kids to watch a movie so I swapped out a '05 DVD unit I found on eBay. Really, all you have to do is cut the harness from each and wire them together. I posted pictures doing this sometime last year. Other than that it's pretty easy. I just bought some wireless headphones of Amazon that work fine with the DVD player.

Here you go, this thread should help you. Thanks to superdaves wiring diagrams I had this figured out quickly.

Hey Apoc, if your offering them up and op doesn't need them I'm interested. The 05 that I picked up recently is missing them.

You can get those wireless head sets on amazon, for what it's worth. Just be wary of the inexpensive ones. I bought a pair of the cheep ones (like $25), and one of them didn't work at all. The amazon store just sent me a new one as replacement. I have them set up and in my ex, but I really doubt I'll ever actually use them.
