98 Expy brake job (part #'s / spec inquiry)
1998 Ford Expedition EB 4x4 5.4L - Auto
Hello again guys...been awhile since Ive been on here, but got a few quick questions to see if someone can point me in the right direction.
My 98 Expy is up in TN and this past weekend I noticed the brakes were lacking on the front end. I tore into the front passengers side and noticed that the caliper had given up, so I placed an order for a new caliper and rotor and eventually started my repair.
Long story short, new caliper did not come with crush washers (copper), so I had to go back to the store and buy a "variety pack" which was an hour round trip. I fished out the (2) I needed "matched up size of old vs new" and continued on with the swap.
In addition, the (2) 18mm bolts that hold the caliper bracket were on there pretty tight, so I buggered up the heads a bit. Had to heat em up to finally get them out. Would like to replace with some new ones.
So, in a nut shell when I return up to TN, I want to finish the other three corners and would like to order everything before I get there....like I said, its an hour round trip and stuff that's not in stock seems to fall in the category of, "we can have it in a few days", which is usually how long I am there.
So, five paragraphs later, can someone provide me with the following info:
What is the size/dimensions of the crush washers used to facilitate proper sealing of brake line to caliper (front and rear....dunno if they are the same of different).
And...same thing for those caliper bracket bolts...the 18mm ones....anyone know the exact size/pitch?
I have searched AAP's website and it a shows Part No. H801 is an exact fit for my vehicle, however while poking around on eBay, found conflicting info for same part number

Really don't know how much faith to put in either ones "fitment" charts so figured Id ask you fine folks. Doing brakes shouldn't be a hard task to complete, but the vehicle has been neglected and was originally from WI, so things are a bit rusty under there, which needless to say...takes more time and effort. Even the simple chores seem to kick my tail when it involves the Expy.
Appreciate you guys taking a look at this thread.
