Taking the parts down to the machine shop and I remembered to grab the exhaust manifolds to get them resurfaced. And then I see the stripe of death. Long, straight hairline crack on the passenger side manifold, dead center vertical. Should I just weld this pig up or am I hosed?

 

Use it as an excuse to buy a good set of headers.

 

IIRC, RockAuto sells replacements for around $100.

I'd be heading to the JY for a low-buck replacement... but yes, I concur with ^^^Big Bad Bink cuz it's the gearhead thing to do.

Two different FE left exhaust manifolds.

C5TZ-9431-A = Left Exhaust Manifold: 1965/67 F100/350 352 & 1973/74 F100 360/390 - Use with heat riser valve.

C8TZ-9431-B = Left Exhaust Manifold: 1968/72 F100/350 360/390 - 1973/76 F250/350 360/390 - 1975/76 F100/150 360/390.

D0TZ-9430-A (replaced C5TZ-9430-A) = Right Exhaust Manifold: 1965/67 F100/350 352 & 1968/76 F100/350 360/390.

All 3 of these manifolds are available NOS

 

2X Bink. Headers and Stage 8 brand header bolts. With these you'll never have a blown header gasket.
