Hi all, I was under the truck fixing my broken step and for some reason I was compelled to turn the front drive shaft. Spun free and smooth but I noticed that only the driver side u-joint (at the wheel) was turning, not the passenger side. I'm hoping that its just how the open diffs work. If not..... feel free to break my heart. Oh, and BTW.... I found a cheap and effective way to repair the broken step brackets. I'm hoping to do a vid for y'all this weekend. Time to give back. I'm an electronic media spaz though. I need to recruit the help of my 13 year old daughter to do it.
Thank you. I feel better now. We had such a rough winter here, that so many things took a beating. House , truck, camper etc. And of course my wallet. Didn't want to rebuild the front diff as well. BTW- love Kentucky. We go the Horse Park in Lexington every year, Beautiful place.. beautiful people.
I mobbed my truck the hardest I had ever done. I was at a desert party, as soon as we were leaving the fuzz rolled in on the party I was driving so fast out of there 45+ on desert dirt roads. All my friends could not belive how well the truck handled. Only times when TTB pays off.

Funny you mention driving fast on sand/dirt. Last summer we had to make a fast getaway on the beach. Moon tide was comming up quick and we were 7 miles down the beach. I was pushing as hard as I safely could but what a horrible ride. Front end was bottoming out and my gear was all over the place. Went for new springs and bushings that week.... oh and a cooler and BBQ.
