Fresh Air Inlet 2 types same part number?

I came across a couple of different vents that are different but have the same engineering or part number. One dips and one is more rectangular. The part or engineering numbers are C7TA-8102105-CW. I believe the one that doesn't have a dip was used on 67 to 72 trucks and the other I pulled from a 73 to 79 model. Can someone shed some light?

For the one with the notch, my book shows the following:
1975-79 E100-350 D5UZ 1102105-A (L.H.)
1973-77 F100-500 D2TZ 1002105-A (L.H.)
1973-77 F500 C5TZ 8102104-A (R.H.)
I don't have the book for the older models.
