Reminds me of the videos/news we are seeing now of Cuba on the news stations. Lots of old cars there.
Thanks for sharing.

That was good.
My truck was built at the Long Beach assembly plant in late '51 model year. Chances are somebody walking around in that film knew someone who actually put it together, or maybe even worked there.
Thanks for sharing that.

Bill McGuire of Mac’s Motor City Garage has found what may be the ultimate period film footage of a fifties drive-in restaurant. Bill’s research turned up that Beany’s Drive-In was located in Long Beach, California, at the Pacific Coast Highway and Ximeno Avenue. He has also uncovered the fact that the rotating mascot at the top of the sign was none other than Beany of Beany and Cecil a Los Angeles television show that was later turned into a nationally-syndicated cartoon show.
From the appearance of the footage it appears to have been shot on opening day at Beany’s # 2 as a woman can be seen presenting flowers to some of the female patrons. There are also plenty of cars for you to see both out on the streets and at Beany’s. Let us know what you find interesting in the video. The film is courtesy of the Prelinger Internet Archives.

Looks like there is only one truck in the whole video. Looks like a green F1 at 1:28 in the video. , Doug.
