Craigslist Denver: More and more Bullnoses for sale
A bevy of bullnose beauties popping up on CL Denver, including eight F250s and an engine. Some of these are in different parts of Colorado, but it's always great to see what's out there. Aaaaand, we all just like lookin' at 'em. A couple of these were shown on the other CL thread. Trying not to show too many junkers.

Wow! What a collection. Prices from $1200 to $6000? And so many errors - an 80 or 81 F150 with a 400? Not unless it was swapped in to replace the 351M. And a 5-speed in another truck, which should have a 351M? Not unless someone did a ZF5 swap as the other 5-speeds won't fit. And a later truck with a 400? Nope.
Anyway, CO is obviously the place to be looking for these trucks. The dry climate keeps them relatively rust-free. And there are bunches of them.

LOL! Exactly!
As noted in the "Used Truck Shopper's Checklist", composed on this very forum two (2) weeks ago... Part 2, Section B, Article 8:
Decide how many modifications you're willing to deal with. Consider who did the work. "Me and a buddy and a case o'beer" may not fill the bill. If it's been chopped or lifted or had four engine swaps, it might mean trouble for you.

But, in the case of the one with the "400" I'd ask how he knows. (You cannot tell from the outside unless the sticker is still on the valve cover, and even then the valve cover can have been swapped.) But, maybe it is a "built" 400. Or, at least it might have the 400 crank and can be "built".
On the 5-speed, the only reasonable way to get a 5-speed is the ZF5, so maybe it is as it is usually hard to mis-count the # of gears. (Although, I did help a guy on the Tulsa CL that was advertising a ZF5 as a "4-speed".) So, I'd quickly ask about that 'cause if it is then all the pieces would be there, although it isn't likely he'll have done a truly "proper" conversion.
So, sometimes you add up the components and say "It is worth it to me as I can make something out of those bits and pieces."

I'm pulling five more from the other thread, don't know if they're still for sale. There are probably more, but these are based on search parameters, so a listing like "Nice old Ford truck" won't always show up.

This one is no longer listed. I hope it found a good home. There had to be at least $400 worth of parts in there ...
1984 4*4 3/4 ton ford - $400
Used 1984 Ford 4*4 non running needs new front brakes ran when parked a few years ago. Fair shape.
Inquiring minds want to know: Was the need for new front brakes what caused this truck to be parked a few years ago? In other words, did it run aground?

Ha! NW corner of Colorado, close to Nebraska. Otherwise I'd take a drive just to check it out. It's gotta have parts worth more than $400. Wish I had the time to part it out. Then there's the tow....
If (J) was closer and cheaper, I might be taking a serious look at it. I think Festus would like a younger brother. Original owner! But quite a bit of rust ... (the truck, not the owner.)
