I recently bought a 2007 F250 KR and the power sliding window didn't work. I removed the rear seat and rear decorative panel yesterday to investigate. The motor is working, I can manually slide this window open & closed. The cable on the passenger side is broken. Can I just replace the cable? Do I have to replace the entire motor assembly with both cables? Or is the whole rear window unit considered one piece?

wasn't able to buy just cable

whole rear cable section came as a unit, cast wasn't bad and install took about an hour

 

Did you have to remove the entire rear window assembly to make the repair? Does the sliding window pop out somehow? My cable is broken so I assume that a piece of the cable is stuck inside the window attachment point? I want to repair it, just want to know what I am in for.

Mechanical cable that moves the window. There are two. Right & Left.
