Never heard of such a thing, but thanks for sharing Gavin. I will be sure to add this fix to my old truck in Baja, as I do not want to have the embarrassment of having to be towed home by a Chevy.. and have to ride in it to boot.. I know you must be mortified, but for your penance, drink 3 beers (to wash out the Chevy taste), and ask for absolution at the Ford parts desk.. You will be forgiven...

It will be checked with greater frequency!
Great idea buddy!
Do you think King Jeff can do that over the phone?
This whole fiasco cost me $180 and a ride in a truck with square fenders.

I hope to get another video uploaded this week.
I like old Chevys, especially the 67-72's. I just don't like the newer square fendered trucks.

Well, back in the day, I had a 1957 Apache 10, and was living on Catalina Island, which only had dirt roads back then. It had an inline 6, which ran flawlessly for ever and ever. I agree, that the old Chevys were pretty good trucks, if mine was any kind of yard stick..
The new ones, not so much I hear..

Oh yeah amigo, sure am.. it was just truck and nothing fancy. Three on the tree, 2wd, and basic faded vanilla white, with a flair side box.
I was working for the Island Company, at the Isthmus, on the West end of the island, and used to make the weekly "Grocery Run" for all the families (5 of them), 26 miles to Avalon, to Island Grocery, and pick up the week's provisions. One of the ranches I used to pass through, had the largest buffalo herd outside Wyoming, and I used to be scared half out of my wits to have to get out and open the gates... Those suckers are BIG...but 'Ol Tonto', never let me downl
