That would be slick Rodney.
I'm torn on the debate. I prefer the ergonomics/look of the console shifter, but appreciate the practicality of the column shift......

I prefer the console for both ergos and looks Chad. I think it would be great for plowing. Personal preference for sure though. Only down side is loosing some storage in the console but there is so much now, I wouldn't miss it.

The R-D shifting would be much nicer plowing.
I would miss the storage. My cupholders get used for small parts, and it's nice to still have enough to cover for actual drinks. Plowing would probably tip the scales for me though.....

I have found the column shifter to be challenging to use while towing. Trying to shift from D to M I've slipped it down to 2/1 instead. I really liked my console shifter in my Nissan Titan and that aftermarket shifter looks pretty sexy. But not sexy enough for me to pony up the money for it, the time to install it or the loss of storage.

Thats not an aftermarket shifter Jim. It’s an OE F150 shifter...

I prefer the column shifter. Perhaps if I lived in a plowing climate, I would have a different opinion.

I love the console shift! I was hoping the '17 would come with it as an option. It would suck to lose the cupholders though, as we quite often have 4 full when on the road...2 for coffee and 2 for water. For $200, this would definitely be a nice swap.

You could put the other two in the cupholders in the rear of the console Tom.

True. That would keep the 3 kids from fighting over the 2!

Kids are on their own. I don't even let ours drink anything in the truck. Sure fire way to make a mess. She can wait til we stop, just like bathroom breaks.

Ours get water and that's it, and it has to be in an insulated bottle with a lid. That's the only way it happens in my truck!
