I'm not considering one... Just always looking at what's next from vehicles. They make a kit to add that screen to a Jeep GC which is how I came across it. The new 2020(or 21... no one knows for sure yet) WL Grand Cherokee will have the 12" screen as OE like the 19 Ram.

From the looks of it, this new Ram will probably be in my driveway in the 2020/2021 timeframe.

The real question will be if I spring for a diesel again or if these new 8/10 speed automatics paired with big block V8s will be enough for my needs.

I don't tow as heavy as y'all (at most around 12k)....of course the price of fuel will help sway the decision one way or the other. I love my diesels and probably won't sway, but diesel options are anywhere from $8k to $11k (Ram w/ the Aisin) and that's a big chunk of change.

For those tow weights, I'd owner a gasser 100% Steve. I'm not one of those guys who just loves diesel for what it is. I own one because my RV requires it. When the day comes that I downsize it, I won't own a diesel just because....

Don't move to Michigan, home of the "no fault" insurance. Just my truck, wife's Rubicon, and the Canned ham cost $4,800 a year. Neither of us have had a ticket in 15-20 years. They estimate 70%of actual Detroit residents don't have any insurance, since they aren't on the hook if they hit someone, and the cars aren't worth what the insurance costs. I'd have to ask Jen what the RV and house insurance cost. Rant over....

That screen is neat Rodney, but i don't know if i could do it. I guess I've been screamed at one too many times when the one screen for everything goes out, makes me a bit gunshy....

I love big screens and electronics, but in my vehicles, I much prefer hard buttons for quick, easy access. I wish my heated steering wheel had a hard button.

Even my Nissan Leaf (EV) has a toggle button for the heated steering wheel. Not that I ever use it. When I charge at work the Leaf has a timer to heat the interior and turn on the heated steering wheel (and seats if I turn that on) so it's all warm and comfy if I leave work between 2:50 and 3:20.

I don't think I've ever had to turn ON the heated steering wheel in my F-350 as it comes on with remote start. But I have had to turn it OFF due to it being too warm.

I agree Tom. I'm always hitting the button next to it by accident when attempting to turn it on or off on a bumpy road. On my wife's SUV, it's right on the side of the steering column and muscle memory turns it on and off flawlessly every time.

Got some initial renderings from our house plan lady and Morton buildings. Got some tweaking to do on both. Not sure if the barn will be stick or Morton. If stick can match or beat Morton's price, I'd prefer it's look. Interior floorplan is close with a few adjustments to be made which we are working on now...

I doubt that a stick will Be anywhere near the price and quality. FYI have one door at l ast 14 ftand depth 50 ft for rv. My shop is 40 and the rv is 40.thought rv was 35 when talking to dealer but found out that is the lower area that is measured. So can’t get it into shop.
Enjoy whatever you get

The center door is 14' tall and the shop in total is 42'X60'. This was done to house the XLR and whatever comes next. I like stick better because for one, it looks nicer. But also, it has a full foundation which lends to less cracks in the pad and keeps unwanted, 4 legged visitors out. In the end though, it will come down to price. I sent the lady that is doing the house prints Morton's proposal so she could draw it up as a stick building. Will see what my builder buddy comes up with for a price based on that. Another option to save some money on stick is to have it built on Simpson Ties instead of a full foundation. I'd loose the advantages I mentioned above but save a ton of excavating and foundation pouring money.

Now, I'm trying to decide on if I should keep the attached garage so deep. I went deeper so that I could keep my plow stored in front of my truck. (Need room to walk in front of it to put it on and between it and my truck.) If I stored the plow in the barn, I could shave 10' off the depth of the garage but on and off wouldn't be so simple.

Nope, that size is set. The attached garage is the one in flux...

On Erics shop build he regretted that the doors were only 10 ft wide, are you thinking more than 10 wide ,
also keep the garage a long as you originally planed
